Return to Work Programs
Return to Work Programs are designed to help injured workers get back to work using exercises that simulate each person’s individual job duties as well as a variety of other exercises for increased strength and endurance. The key to successful programs is to help people get back to work and avoid re-injury.In addition to working on physical conditioning, return to work programs also provide assistance in other areas such as education of the workers’ comp rules and guidelines and help with emotional and social issues that may arise as a result of work injuries. An area often over-looked by those who have suffered work injuries is a person’s ability to perform day-to-day activities such as cooking, driving, playing with your children, taking showers, getting dressed, etc. While attending these programs, you will perform activities that will help you get back to life as you knew it before you were injured.
At WOL+MED, we know that when you are injured at work, it affects more than just your ability to work. We know that it affects your personal life and your family as well. We’ll help you get through those things so you can get back to a more normal life because we’re committed to helping you every step of the way.

Work Hardening Program
Work Hardening is an individualized, inter-disciplinary, and job-specific program of activities to return the patient to work. WOL+MED's team of professionals uses real or simulated work tasks, developed from job site assessments and ergonomic analysis to measure and promote increased physical condition, strength, pain tolerance and ability to perform assigned tasks using proper body mechanics.
The Work Hardening program provides an injured worker a transition treatment between acute care and successfully returning to work. Work Hardening is designed to improve various aspects of physical conditioning and strengthening and increasing adaptive behaviors while decreasing the worker's reliance on pain medication. For those unable to return to the job where they were injured, work simulation and transferable job skills training helps the patient prepare for future job changes.
In other words...
You get to be stronger & able to get back to work, even if it's with another employer that you choose. And, you will be able to do your normal family and social activities.
